Associate Professor Felice Jacka is a Principal Research Fellow at Deakin University. She is President of the International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research and the Alliance for the Prevention of Mental Disorders. Felice is recognised as the leading expert worldwide regarding the association between diet quality and the common mental disorders, depression and anxiety, in children, adolescents and adults. She will present an overview of the recent and compelling evidence from around the globe highlighting the important role that diet plays in the common mental health problems, depression and anxiety, in children, adolescents and adults. This very new research is transforming the way these disorders are conceptualised.
Dr Rick Kausman
Dr Rick Kausman is a medical doctor who is recognised as the Australian pioneer of the person-centred approach to healthy weight management. Rick has written two books including the award-winning ‘If Not Dieting, Then What?’, he is the creator of a number of other resources, and has had several articles on healthy weight management published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Rick is a Director of the Butterfly Foundation, a Fellow of the Australian College of Psychological Medicine, and a Lifelong Fellow of the Obesity Prevention and Treatment Society.

Robert’s career in Workplace Health and Wellness has spanned 35 years and all levels of Corporate, University and Community education and he is currently lecturing in Corporate Wellness at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in the Masters of Wellness Program. Robert has had a successful career as a researcher and graduate supervisor. He is very well known as a leader who fosters good relationships and co-operation between international wellness organisations and has delivered numerous professional and motivational presentations in Australia and the USA.
Tom Cuddihy PhD
Tom is currently a Director of Wellness Constructs Pty Ltd and Vice President of the National Wellness Institute of Australia. His Doctorate was completed at Arizona State University in Curriculum and Wellness Instruction. He has been a health and wellness teacher as well as a physical education teacher in primary schools, secondary schools and Universities since 1971. He has mentored 12 PhD students to successful graduation. He has published over 50 papers in peer reviewed Journals and has co-authored several book chapters.
Heading up one of Australia’s leading Wellness Coach Training organisations, Fiona Cosgrove is a leader in the emerging field of Wellness Coaching for the Health and Fitness Profesisonal. Combining theories from Coaching Psychology, Behaviour Change and Positive Psychology, Wellness Coaching helps individuals overcome resistance to change using a supportive, and not prescriptive, coaching model approach.
Fiona brings 25 years of experience in the health, fitness and wellness industries, bringing a vast depth of experience ranging from health club owner, university lecturer, keynote speaker, wellness coach trainer, counsellor, author and in recent years a 12 month tenure as National General Manager of The Golden Door group of health retreats and spas. She holds Masters Degrees in Exercise Science and in Counselling and is a certified and licensed Wellness Coach.
Dr Ramesh Manocha MBBS BSc (med) PhD is a GP, educator and researcher. He completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of New South Wales. His PhD was completed at the Royal Hospital for Women and focused on the scientific evaluation of meditation and the mental silence experience. Ramesh is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry at Sydney University and is also the founder and convenor of Generation Next, a national circuit of professional development seminars for education, health and welfare professionals. He also chairs a major series of seminars around Australia focused on family medicine that feature topical issues in clinical practice and public health issues relevant to primary health.
